Domaine Daniel Dugois Description

In 1973, Daniel Dugois bought 2 hectares of vineyard and a house equipped with wine cellars in a village called Les Arsures, where he was born. He cultivated the vineyard and sold his production regionally. In 1982, he made his first harvest into wine in his own cellars and began to sell his wine in bottles to consumers. His first ever harvest earned him his first Gold Medal for his Chardonnay at the Jura Wine Contest.

  • 100% Chardonnay
  • Harvested by hand and pressed using a pneumatic press.  After settling the must for 20 hours, the alcoholic fermentation starts automatically thanks to the naturally-occurring yeasts. The fermentation temperature is maintained at 18°C. Malolactic fermentation is then repeated thanks to the naturally-present bacteria.
  • Tasting notes: Bright straw color. Aromas of green apple and cherry plum, with a hint of honey and almond which carry onto the palate. High minerality.
  • Pairing suggestions: Great as an aperitif, or to accompany a quiche, a cheese sou"é, a gratin, grilled fish, seafood, snails in a creamy sauce, crayfish or scallops.
